Episode 2.23 of AFITC is upon you as the race for arms builds along with the race for the playoffs. With sixteen days to go until the NHL trade deadline, the rumors continue and some deals are already starting to be made. Calgary has made the biggest splash so far by picking up coveted defenseman Brad Stuart from the Boston Bruins yesterday along with Wayne Primeau in exchange for Andrew Ference and Chuck Kobasew. That deal will surely be usurped in stature though as the trade deadline draws closer, perhaps by the likes of Peter Forsberg and his newest suitor.
On today’s edition of the program, we recap the Maple Leaf games against the St. Louis Blues, the Nashville Predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
