Episode 3.13

Live At The Shamrock & Thistle

Episode 3.13 – The Return Engagement – comes to you live from The Shamrock & Thistle in downtown Etobicoke on the heels of the Grim Reaper being added to the speed dial of MLSE just in case they decide someone’s job must come to an end. We’ll discuss the game against the Montreal Canadiens this past Tuesday and how much time it may or may not have bought JFJ and Paul Maurice. Throughout the program, we also provide updates on the game against the Atlanta Thrashers taking place during our recording of this week’s episode. The Revolving Door keeps spinning as well with updates on Alexei Ponikarovsky and Jiri Tlusty.

To conclude the Redline Report, we will discuss a possible change to next year’s schedule format up for discussion at the upcoming Board of Governors meetings in California along with the potential for NHL participation in the 2014 Winter Olympics. In On The Bubble, we welcome you, the listeners, to the show with listener email, some fantastic comments from the audience and a few trivia questions as well. As always, a Troubling Fact of the Week concludes this segment.

And in rigamarole, we discuss Richard Peddie’s questionable admission regarding the hiring of John Ferguson Jr.

Special thanks to The Shamrock & Thistle, located at 4923 Dundas Street West in Etobicoke, for hosting another edition of AFITC Live and to everybody who joined us on the program to share their thoughts on the Maple Leafs! We look forward to our next visit after another great night!
