Episode 5.5

Two more games this past week and still nothing positive to grab onto as the Maple Leafs prepare to enter their eighth game of the season next Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks, still in search of win number one. We’ll take you through the pair of 4-1 losses at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche and the New York Rangers to open the Redline Report. Tributes to returning players during games? Good thing, bad thing? We’ll discuss that too along with where Brian Burke is laying the blame for the poor start. The Revolving Door follows with updates on a number of the Maple Leafs’ walking wounded.

Quick Hits discusses, get ready for this, a positive reaction from the NHL to Canadian interest in becoming home to an NHL team. In On The Bubble, we come at you with more great listener contributions from Twitter and Listener Email; the Junior Hockey Report with a look at the progress of the St. Michael’s Buzzers over the past week and the unveiling of Team Canada East’s roster for the upcoming 2009 World Junior A Challenge; and of course, the Gong Banger stops by at the end of the segment with a Troubling Fact of the Week.

And finally, with so many different attempts to right the ship thus far, all to no avail, we’ll examine what really has to be the last option in rigmarole. All that and more coming up on Episode 5.5 of A Foot In The Crease – The Toronto Hockey Podcast.
