Episode 5.8

Featuring Jeff Brown

Ahead on Episode 5.8 of AFITC, a near perfect week for the Maple Leafs as they earned five out of a possible six points. We’ll discuss a pair of wins coming against the Carolina Hurricanes and the Detroit Red Wings as well as an overtime loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning to kick start the Redline Report. News on an award bestowed on Tomas Kaberle and some heady praise for Jonas Gustavsson follows later on. Quick Hits wraps the Redline Report with a look at the H1N1 vaccine controversy surrounding the Calgary Flames.

On The Bubble follows with Listener Email and the Junior Hockey Report in which we will discuss two St. Michael’s Buzzers games from the past week and the much talked about hit a week ago in the OHL on Ben Fanelli.

To conclude the segment, we are happy to welcome back Jeff Brown of the Oshawa Generals to the program for his second appearance on AFITC. We discuss the importance of defining a role on a team, how to figure out what role you play best, the respect level players have for their opponents in the OHL, head shots, the Ben Fanelli hit, what message Michael Liambas’ suspension sends him as a player in the league and much more.

Wrapping the show of course is rigamarole. In said segment, we’ll tell you how the fortunes in Leafs Nation have suddenly turned on a dime. Keep your head up kids. Here comes Episode 5.8 of AFITC.

Big thanks to Jeff Brown for coming back on the program this week!
