Episode 7.2

The NHL’s regular season is upon us once again and we’ve got you covered. Ahead this week on the program, we’ll look back at the Maple Leafs preseason, tell you what to make of the team’s performance and address some of the decisions that were ultimately made as a result. Frattin, Gardiner both stick as do both tough guys Rosehill and Orr. Franson sits while Komesarik plays. We’ll discuss all those storylines coming up in the Leafs Notes portion of the Redline Report.

Later in the segment, we’ll spin you through the Revolving Door and update you on the plethora of Leafs injuries already. Also, another gut wrenching injury as a result of a touch icing. Is it time for a change? And is Brendan Shanahan going overboard and ruining the physicality of the game? Clarke MacArthur and Mike Milbury think so. Those topics wrap the Redline Report.

Back Checking gets your voice on the program as we check in with a variety of Listener Contributions from Twitter and Email.

Our little discussion on Episode 7.1 about appearances from “Jersey Guy” (random guy who wears sports jerseys in places one wouldn’t think sports jerseys would pass as acceptable attire) drew a lot of response so we want to hear from you. Where are the weirdest places you’ve seen appearances from “Jersey Guy?” Tweet us your responses and we’ll keep mentioning them on the show.

The Troubling Fact of the Week wraps the segment. After that, it’s rigamarole where we’ll tell you, flat out, if the Leafs make the playoffs in 2012. Episode 7.2 of AFITC starts now!
