YOU CAN GIVE ME HUNDREDS OF EXAMPLES???
I'll give you one...The hit on Kelly with 7 seconds left(Crosscheck? Check from Behind? Interference? Charging?), if that gets called, overtime never happens and neither does the Alfie hit...you failed to mention that on your episode!

I apologize, badly worded on my part, my argument wasn't so much that if A doesn't happen then B wont....it was more the fact that neither of you happened to even mention the hit on Kelly, which was just as vicious(if not more) and had a much larger impact on the game. Neither one of you even brought it up, you just took the oppoortunity to rag on Alfredson.
But if the hit on Kelly wasn't a penalty, then why would the Alfie hit be one? Because someone was hurt? (enough to miss half a shift). Did you see Kelly's neck snap back...lucky he didn't get whiplash. Do I think the Alfie hit was a penalty...absolutely, 2 minutes for boading(NO...HE DID NOT JUMP! Crosschecking? With one hand on the stick? Check YouTube, it's on there). Do I think the Capbell hit was a penalty? Absolutely, 2 minutes for interference/from behind/charging/crosschecking. Did either warrant a suspension....No.
I just watched the third period again twice, and I still don't see this 2 hander late in the game. Alfie killed the penalty and went to the bench with 55 seconds left in the game. He never got back on the ice. The closest thing I could find was him trying to get to the net and Campbell crosschecking him in the chin at the 11:30 mark. Maybe it was at the 5:30 mark, but he was swipping at the puck.
I realize you guys don't want Ottawa to win, that's fine I wouldn't be cheering for the Leafs either(Unless they had a lot of my favorite players on the team). But you wasted an entire game recap on one hit...by the guy you love to hate. And for the record there are plenty of players out there that do things like this far more than Alfie, you guys just magnify it. One of those players could arguably be on your team.
Don't get me wrong, I think you guys do a pretty good job with your podcast, and I think the Rigamarole segment is very cool! I don't hate the Leafs as much as most, my best friend is die hard Leafs fan and we spend many hours talking Sens/Leafs in an un-biased manner.
Anyway I know you're doing Leaf nation a great service with your poscasts, keep it up!
Thanks for your response. You make some very astute points that make alot of sense, and frankly, are quite convincing. Perhaps yes, we did go overboard on the Alfredsson hit. We try not to be bias and not get caught up in the emotion but we do not want to see Ottawa win at any cost. Sens fans tend to magnify things relating to Darcy Tucker but hey, that's because of the rivalry. It shows passion toward our teams and the game of hockey itself. If there was more of this type of thing in the US, the game would be in alot better shape.
Thanks for continuing to listen to our program...Don't forget MATT STAJAN coming up on next week's show.
